Golden wheat straw wreath

This beautiful and intricate original design embodies golden wheat fields and the annual grain harvest. The piece is made from 2 layers of maris widgeon wheat straw and uses two contrasting straw working techniques to achieve this unique design.

Plaited onto a metal wreath base, the bottom layer is made up of approx 120 stems with ears and on the top layer uses split straw ribbons, delicately tied into place.

The wreath measure 45cm in diameter and can be hung via the cord hoop on the back of the design.
